T-PARTY - a unique spin on the ‘high tea’ concept - will welcome Australia’s most celebrated pâtissier Adriano Zumbo from 6 March, introducing the MAD T-PARTY.
Zumbo, most famously known for his MasterChef Australia croquembouche, melt-in-your-mouth macarons and whimsical concept stores in Sydney and Melbourne, will design and create two signature dishes; Tea of Hearts and Eat Me exclusively for the MAD T-PARTY.
Nicknamed the ‘sweet assassin’ after his eight level vanilla V8 cake creation, Zumbo will also be splashing his creative touches across the MAD T-PARTY, which will be displayed in a large birdcage structure in the W LOUNGE for people to order from al la carte style.
The new name pays homage to Alice In Wonderland’s ‘mad hatters’ tea party, and just as it is slightly quirky, is set to delight the senses. Hotel guests and visitors who experience the MAD T-PARTY will find themselves slipping down a rabbit hole and into a colourful world of sweets and treats, which can be accompanied by freshly brewed coffees, teas and French champagne.
In addition, a bespoke cocktail menu called DRINK ME has been designed to complement the MAD T-PARTY, featuring six cocktails including: ‘Lychee Alexander’, a mix of brandy St Napoleon, lychee, cream dusted with spice, ‘Earl Grey Mandarin Sour’, Beluga Vodka, orange juice, Earl Grey syrup topped with Earl Grey foam and the ‘Chocolate Martini’, Beluga chocolate infused vodka with chocolate nibs and vanilla pod, gomme served with fresh strawberry, plus a mix of Special Iced Teas and Coffees.
