Tim Philips (formerly of the Hemmesphere Bar Australia) came out on top against 50 finalists in what is probably the most sought after contest in the industry, the DIAGEO RESERVE WORLD CLASS, and was thus chosen to be the “Bartender of the Year 2012” . From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure the staff could not do enough to make our vacation easy, relaxed and enjoyable.
Whilst difficult to call out any one team, the team at Starfish Bloo really went over and above for us.
Another often forgotten group who were by far pne of the best I have seen were the Style (housekeeping) team.
They really delivered on Whatever Whenever...securing a cocktail from the Lounge bar to have at ICE, making sure we had a great table for dinner on our last night, quickly supplying additional water in our room when I was ill and the speed with which they attended to our room when we had been on DND earlier. The Style team would have been the most responsive I have seen of any hotel.
Nothing seemed to much bother for any of the team.
We are already looking forward to our next trip.
BTW, the villas are great for a relaxing holiday, gravitating from poolside to daybed to chilling on your sofa. One thing I would change is Nespresso machines instead of plunger coffee.
